Marion Luise Buchmann

in Hamburg geboren, erhielt ich meine Ausbildung mit Diplom für Tanz und Kammertanz an der
Hamburgischen Staatsoper und tanzte u.a. als Solistin am Theater Bonn, Nationaltheater Mannheim
und dem Staatstheater Hannover.

Von 1983 bis 1994 leitete ich als Choreografin und Trainingsleiterin das TanzTheaterHamburg.
In dieser Zeit erarbeitete ich mit meiner Compagnie 28 Choreografien.
​
Seit 1999 lebe und arbeite ich in Berlin als freischaffende Choreografin, Dozentin für zeitgenössisches Ballett, Dipl. Tanz- und Ausdruckstherapeutin und Videokünstlerin.

Ich war 16 Jahre im Leitungsteam der tanzprobebühne MARAMEO Berlin e.V. wo ich u.a. das klassische Profitraining organisiert und im Wechsel geleitet habe und über 12 Jahre die jährlich stattfindende ShowTime organisierte und moderierte, ein - work in progress - Kunst Forum.

Von April 2016 bis September 2017 war ich in DANCEWORKS Berlin, einer Ausbildungsschule für zeitgenössischen Tanz, Dozentin für zeitgenössisches Ballett und unterrichtete im Ausbildungsbereich die jeweils 3ten Ausbildungsjahre, sowie jeden Samstag & Sonntag eine open class / Profitraining.

2006 habe ich meine Leidenschaft für das Medium Video entdeckt. Es entstanden Tanz- und Kunstvideos, Dokumentationen und Video - Installationen sowie Videostills aus unterschiedlichen Videoarbeiten der Tanz- und Kunstvideos. Seit Februar 2015 bin ich als Künstlerin Mitglied der GEDOK Berlin - der Gemeinschaft der Künstlerinnen und Kunstförderer e.V. und seit Juni 2018 gehöre ich dem Vorstandsteam der GEDOK Berlin an. 2017 erhielt ich von der Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa eine Künstlerinnen-Förderung.

I was born in Hamburg and received my diploma for dance and chamber dance at the Hamburg state opera. Among other things I became a soloist at the theater of Boon, the national theater of Mannheim and at the state theater of Hannover.
From 1983 until 1994 I led the TanzTheaterHamburg in the role of the leading trainer and choreographer. In this time period I created 28 choreographies together with my dance company.
Since 1999 I live and work in Berlin as a freelancing Choreographer, instructor/professor/teacher/lecturer of contemporary ballet, diploma degree dancer and expressive therapist as well as a video artist.

For sixteen years I was a member of the directing team at MARAMEO Berlin e.V. At this non-profit organization, among other things, I taught the classical training classes for professional dancers and organized and moderated the yearly ShowTime for twelve consecutive years, giving the dancers an opportunity to preform their work in progress.

From the beginning of April, 2016 till the end of September 2017, I am an instructor for the education school DANCEWORKS Berlin and teach in the field of contemporary ballet as well as instructing an open class for professionals every Saturday and Sunday.
​
In 2006 I discovered my passion for videos and I began creating videos with the theme of dance, art, documentations and video installations. I than began creating video stills from several of the dance and art videos. Since February of 2015 I have been a member of GEDOK Berlin (the Registered Society of female artists and Art Supporters) as a visual artist and since June 2018 I am a member of the directing team at GEDOK Berlin.
